Aerosmith's Tour History

Aerosmith began touring in 1970 and has continued to do so for over 35 years now. Even though they started touring in 1970 their first chief tour was the 1976-77 “The Rocks Tour,” in which they first visited both Europe and Japan. "The Rocks Tour" was the beginning of a long line of tours for Aerosmith.

During the 1977-’78 “Aerosmith Express tour” the album Live Bootleg was brought about. Though the coarse of 1979 and 1980 Joe Perry and Brad Whitford broke away from the band. Then at the 1984 “Back in the saddle” tour Joe and Brad reunited with them. The 1985-86 "Done with Mirrors" tour was done to back their first album after six years. After completing drug rehabilitation, they did the 1987-88 "Permanent Vacation Tour." 1989-90 bought about the "Pump Tour", where they revisited Europe and saw Australia for the first time. After a short pause, 1993 started the long 18 months “Get a Grip Tour.” Next they visited places like Japan and Europe in the 1997-99 “Nine Lives Tour.” Making up for only on leg in the "Nine Lives Tour," Aerosmith did the 1999-2000 “Roar of the Dragon Tour.” Due to the September 11 tragedy some shows in the 2001-2002 “Just Push Play Tour” had to be canceled. For the next couple of years they continued with a new tour ever year. Their last tour was the “2007 World Tour.” Here they revisited Latin America and toured new places including India, Russia and a few other places.

After 35 years of delivering concerts to their fans, it does not seem that they plan on slowing down.  Their planned appearance at Miller Park on August 28, 2008 would give evidence of this.
