Chances are, you've either heard of this classic band, or you've probably had the opportunity of listening to their popular songs! Since Aerosmith was formed in the early seventies, they've had one of the longest running careers in the rock business, and continue to blow us away with their performances.

Formed in 1970, this five member group, began their musical career in Boston. Not long after their start, Columbia Records picked them up with a record deal. Fame and fortune came quickly and by the close of that decade, they had secured a plethora of fans with six albums already. The eighties were somewhat rocky for the band, with substance abuse, members leaving the group and a failed attempt at another great album. However, they came back with a bang, and created three more records, rising higher in fame. They signed with a different record company, Geffen Records, and had several hit singles.

Today, Aerosmith has a total of fourteen albums, eleven of which went platinum or beyond. They have acquired four Grammy awards, not to mention several other achievements. They currently hold the title of "the best selling hard rock band" in the history of hard rock. Their music is featured in movies such as Mrs. Doubtfire, Armageddon, and 2000's Charlie's Angels, as well as the popular show "Saturday Night Live".
