Aerosmith has been named one of the greatest rock bands of all times. This achievement did not come easily.
The original band started with Steven (Tallarico) Tyler joining up with Joe Perry and Tom Hamilton in 1970 in Boston, Mass. Ray Tabano, Tom Hamilton, and Joey Kramer joined soon after and the group began a long journey of becoming known. Life in the beginning wasn't easy. They all shared a small apartment and lived on bare necessities that the small performances at the campus nearby earned them. "Internal turmoil" lead to a parting of Joe Perry from the band in 1979. In 1980, similar turmoil saw the parting of Brad Whitford. The band struggled again until the return of both Joe Perry and Brad Whitford in 1984. The fame that became associated with Aerosmith was more than refurbished in the late 80's and 90's. Aerosmith's reunion brought their fans even more of the award winning magic that earned them their place in rock and roll history. The bond that has been formed between these members has been unbroken for almost forty years of music making. They are still touring and have scheduled the release of a video game for 2008. They are an inspiration to many of the rock bands that have been rocking from the late seventies through today.
Aerosmith's members have shown the world what a real garage style rock and roll band should be, and their hard work and dedication have paid off.
