Aerosmith Stays True to Guitar Hero

There have been a few rumors circulating that the rock band Aerosmith intends on turning their tunes to the game ‘Rock Band’ within the near future. After the band joined forces with the wildly popular ‘Guitar Hero,’ ‘Rock Band’ just seems like a logical choice. However, the band has denied any such rumors, and they have recently signed an exclusivity contract with ‘Guitar Hero.’

The band claims that it has no interest (nor intention) of joining ‘Rock Band,’ and that they are more than content with the press that their ‘Guitar Hero’ partnership has gained. For those that have never played ‘Guitar Hero’ each player must strum their guitar in time with Aerosmith’s music in order to become an official rock star. The game has really been useful for the band, since hundreds of players worldwide now know their songs – it is safe to say that those non familiar with Aerosmith in the past, now know this band like the back of their hand (well, guitar anyway).

‘Guitar Hero’ costs around $40, though the game that comes with the controller will run anywhere between $80 to $100 dollars. This game has swept the nation and it is now one of the most popular games out there. If you haven’t had the opportunity to walk in a rock star’s shoes with ‘Guitar Hero,’ make sure to check this game out. Just remember – you may be able to play your favourite Aerosmith tunes on ‘Guitar Hero,’ but don’t hold your breath if you are waiting for this band to showcase their music on ‘Rock Band.’
